Kaia Gerber knows what she wants in a man.
Jacob Elordi revealed that his model girlfriend, 19, laid down the law when they first started dating, and nixed his mullet.
“My mom never let me have [a mullet] ’cause she wanted me to be a gentleman, presentable,” he said during his Tuesday night appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” explaining that he “always wanted” the controversial hairstyle.
The “Euphoria” actor, 24, returned home to Australia during the coronavirus pandemic to live with his parents and grow out his hair in peace, without worrying about job prospects.
Though his acting career ultimately didn’t derail his mullet journey, Gerber put the kibosh on the look as soon as they met.
“My girlfriend, within a week of us dating, she cut it off. She took me to the bathroom, and she got scissors out, and she cut it off,” the “Kissing Booth” star revealed.
“She said, ‘You’re cute, but not that cute.'”
The joke may be on Gerber, as mullets have never been more popular. Miley Cyrus, Rihanna, Demi Lovato and more have all given the polarizing style their stamp of approval recently.
