Star did ‘spiritual cleanses’ on horror show by being near Adrien Brody

Emily Hampshire says to rid herself of any evil vibes from her role in the upcoming horror series, “Chapelwaite,” she’d walk by co-star Adrien Brody’s incense-filled trailer.

“Well, you know… Adrien has a lot of incense and he’s very holistic,” she told us. “So I would just walk by his trailer and I was like, ‘Well I’m cleansed!'”

“Chapelwaite” is based on the short story “Jerusalem’s Lot” by Stephen King, and is set in the 1800s.

One “red band” trailer for the show includes footage of Brody picking bloody worms out of his nose. The actor has previously revealed he chose to work with real worms rather than use computer graphics: “We had a worm wrangler who handled these worms with her bare hands,” he has said.

Hampshire told us: “I saw the trailer … when you’re on-set worms don’t look as wormy as they do when they are all over you, and thank God the ‘you’ in the sentence was Adrien and not me.”

She also said she believes that the home where they shot the show is really haunted.

“The house [where] we shot … is beautiful, but it’s haunted. So we shot the interior on a set, but the exterior was this house in Halifax … they have the whole history of everyone who lived in there, and everyone who lived in there pretty much died a horrible death.

“They are still clearly not happy about it, because doors would shut. I am not kidding that place is haunted.”

“Chapelwaite” premieres on Epix on August 22nd.
