Fitness program that helped Alex Rodriguez lose his ‘dad bod’ coming to NYC

Now New Yorkers can look like their favorite former Yankee.

54D, the Miami-based, nine-week workout program that Alex Rodriguez credits with helping him lose his dad bod, is expanding to New York City and LA in 2022, Page Six can exclusively reveal.

We’re told the program, which currently has locations in Coral Gables, Florida, Mexico, and Colombia, will also open a new location in the Miami Design District.

54D, founded by former pro athlete Rodrigo Garduño, “combines high-intensity group training, custom nutrition and recovery therapy,” according to a press release.

As Page Six previously reported, A-Rod shelled out $4,000 for the program and has been showing off the results ever since.

“A-Rod showed amazing commitment during our 54-day program,” workout founder Rodrigo Garduño told Page Six in April. “He was at the training on time, no matter how busy his schedule could be. That is the only way to achieve results.”

The fitness portion of the program consists of HIIT training, cardio and weightlifting.

Rodriguez showed off his weight loss from the program in an Instagram post in April, where a side-by-side photo displayed his before-and-after results.

“Left the Dad-bod in 2020,” he said at the time. “Anyone else determined to stick with their fitness goals this year? I’ve been consistent with my workouts and finally put down the chips. What food is your weakness?”

And the newly single slugger has continued to flaunt his results, even posting a shirtless thirst trap to Instagram while celebrating his birthday on an extravagant European yacht excursion.

Other celebrities slated to take on the 54D program include Adriana Lima and Colombian singer Juanes.
