Beyoncé’s new Ivy Park Rodeo collection includes denim chaps

Bey-haw.

Beyoncé’s next Ivy Park x Adidas drop is all about denim, cow prints and other Western wear.

Dubbed Ivy Park Rodeo and due to drop on August 19, the collection “will celebrate the often overlooked history of black cowboys and cowgirls and their continued influence and impact on American rodeo,” according to WWD.

The extensive range will include 58 pieces of women’s and unisex apparel, five shoes and 13 accessories.

The designs — including a denim bodysuit, a wide-leg snap pant, tracksuit, bucket hat and, naturally, chaps — will be available in various washes of denim and washed heavy French terry, as well as a purple cow print.

Following the pattern of past Ivy Park x Adidas drops, the collection will be available in inclusive sizing from XXXS to 4XL. Prices range from $45 to $200 for the apparel and $25 to $75 for the accessories, with shoes retailing for $140 to $200.

Fans may have been expecting a cowboy-focused collection, as the Houston native started teasing the news on the Ivy Park website and Instagram page earlier this week with a video featuring “The Wire” actor Glynn Turman wearing the new collection on horseback.

In the clip, Turman — who’s also a rodeo champion — discusses his past shoveling manure in Central Park so he could ride horses for free, and underscores the role black cowboys have played in American history.

Bey may have gotten the idea for Ivy Park Rodeo from younger sister Solange, who spotlighted black cowboys in Philadelphia in her 2019 “Things I Imagined/Down With the Clique” music video.

The Ivy Park Rodeo collection will launch exclusively on adidas.com on Aug. 19 for 24 hours only, with a global launch the next day.
