Hoda Kotb runs into Simone Biles on flight home from Tokyo Olympics

Hoda Kotb had quite the flight companion while returning home from covering the Tokyo Olympics.

The “Today” show co-anchor snapped a selfie with gymnast Simone Biles, who was seated in a separate row in first class on their flight home.

“Looky looky who is on my flight… lucky me!” Kotb captioned the photo Wednesday. “Welcome home @simonebiles.”

“Today” show weatherman Al Roker quipped, “Of course she is,” in the comments section.

Biles, 24, flew home with a bronze medal in her pocket after scoring third in the women’s balance beam final earlier this week.

The Gymnastics GOAT had sat out of the team final and missed five events during the Tokyo Games to focus on her mental health.

Kotb exclusively told Page Six following Biles’ withdrawal that the Olympian seemed “relieved.”

“I was not expecting this in a million years … but Simone actually seems kind of relieved to me,” Kotb shared with us. “It was like a moment when you make a very big decision and you feel relief and you can exhale and you feel calm.”

The journalist had been in the gym to tease the primetime gymnastics team finals when Biles walked out following an awkward, low-scoring vault performance.

Biles’ boyfriend, Jonathan Owens, has continuously expressed his support for the gymnast throughout her trials and tribulations in Tokyo.

“Words can’t explain how proud I am of you right now!!” Owens wrote alongside a photo of a smiling Biles at the 2020 Olympics on his Instagram Story after her bronze win. He added the heart and clapping-hands emojis.
