Pop star Olivia Rodrigo will head to the White House to help with a campaign to get young people vaccinated against COVID-19, the Biden administration said Tuesday.
The “Drivers License” singer, 18, will meet with President Biden and Dr. Anthony Fauci on Wednesday as part of the push to get shots into more arms, a White House official told The Post.
Rodrigo will record videos for her social media accounts that highlight the importance of getting the jab and answer questions about the vaccine from fans, the official said.
The songstress first confirmed that she was heading to Washington, DC, in a comment on an Instagram post from Biden on Tuesday.
The president shared a photo of his younger self with the caption, “I know this young person would’ve gotten vaccinated, but we’ve got to get other young people protected as well.”
“Who’s willing to help?” he wrote, to which Rodrigo replied, “I’m in! see you tomorrow at the white house.”
Currently, only 41.6% of adults between the ages of 18 and 24 are fully vaccinated against the virus, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The number lags behind older age groups, such as the nearly 77% of people over the age of 75 who are fully vaccinated, according to the agency.
