There’s another Situation!
Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and his wife, Lauren Sorrentino, have welcomed their first child.
“Romeo Reign Sorrentino 🥰🚀,” the new dad announced on Instagram Thursday alongside photos of the newborn in the hospital.
The “Jersey Shore” star, 38, and Lauren, 36, had documented their journey to starting a family in front of MTV cameras, even meeting with a fertility doctor in one episode of the “Family Vacation” reunion series.
The couple announced that they were expecting in a sweet social media post in November 2020 and found out they were having a boy the following month.
“Gym Tan We’re having a baby boy,” Mike captioned a series of photos on Instagram of him and Lauren with blue baby shoes in front of their Christmas tree.
They made an Instagram account for their son at the time and posted a sentimental note on his page.
“IT’S OFFICIAL – I’M A BABY BOY! 💙🎉🙏🏼 My parents were waiting to see if they could host my first party for the reveal but because of the C word, they decided to be safe, most especially for me 👶🏼, and host it virtually!” the pair wrote on his page, referencing the COVID-19 pandemic. “Please share all your baby boy advice & favorite places to shop for cute baby clothes as my Mama cannot wait to shop for me! Mama & Daddy are thrilled and Mama is about to start full on nursery planning! See you guys next week.”
The Sorrentinos anxiously awaited the birth of their son, with Mike telling us that his ultimate Christmas wish was to get a “healthy baby boy who is due in May 2021.”
Fans will get an inside look into their pregnancy, as they filmed “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation” Season 5 at Woodloch Resort in Pennsylvania while awaiting their baby boy’s arrival.
Lauren previously suffered a miscarriage in November 2019, shortly after celebrating her and Mike’s first wedding anniversary.
They had conceived the night that the MTV personality came home from prison for tax fraud crimes.
