Literal and figural giants of the sports world party in Miami

Some of the biggest stars in sports — literally and figuratively — partied in Miami over the weekend.

We’re told 7’1″ NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal had dinner at Myles Chefetz’s Prime 112 with 6’9″ boxer Tyson Fury on Saturday. The pair sat at a table for 12 with Fury’s self-proclaimed “Gypsy entourage.” (Fury is of Irish Traveller descent). We’re told they all had oversized veal chops.

“The whole restaurant was [trying to get] a glimpse of the two behemoths,” said a spy, “Fury was wearing a loud Versace shirt, so there was no way not to notice him.”

According to a spy, New England Patriots QB Cam Newton (a mere 6’5″) was brought over so he could meet the group, and former NFL star Vernon Davis was also seen at the table talking to Shaq.

Also dining at the restaurant: former Giant Landon Collins, former Knicks head coach Mike Woodson and NFL All-Pro Stefon Diggs.

Meanwhile, in an appearance in the Genius.com online series “Between the Lines” Shaq claimed that Jive records once offered him $10 milllion to record three rap albums.

He said that in 1992 he performed on the “Arsenio Hall Show” with rap group Fu-Schnickens just for fun, and “then the next day, my agent says, ‘Hey, I don’t know if you want to take this call, but Jive wants to offer you a record deal.’”

Shaq said on the web series that he replied, “I ain’t doing no record deal.’”

But that when the agent said, “‘They want to give you $10 million for three albums.’ I was like, ‘I’ll take it.’ And so that’s how I started doing my albums.”

He eventually released five studio albums.
