Jets owner Woody Johnson’s 14-year-old son takes part in NFL Draft

Like father, like son.

Jets owner Woody Johnson’s 14-year-old son, Brick, was at the Atlantic Health Jets Training Center in Florham Park, NJ, last week during the kickoff of the NFL Draft — and got to speak with Zach Wilson when the team picked him at No. 2.

A source tells us that the young scion “really wants to get more involved” in his dad’s business. “He wants to learn the ropes of the team and get more involved as he gets older,” says the source.

“Welcome to NY @Zachkapono1! The journey starts now,” Brick posted on Instagram with a pic of himself on the phone.

In a video of the call posted on the Jets’ site, Johnson — who has owned the team since 2000 — jokes to Wilson, “I probably know more about you than I know about my own kids,” as Brick laughs in the background.

BYU quarterback Wilson, 21, said on draft night of joining the New York squad: “I can’t wait to represent that city.”

He also told reporters over Zoom of being picked by the Jets, “When a team isn’t doing super well, and you can go in there and actually be a key piece and what actually flips that organization around, I think that’s so special. I’m so excited. Me, along with this new coaching staff as well, to go in there and do the best that we can to flip this thing around.”

The Post’s Steve Serby wrote of Wilson’s call: “There was an air of poise and maturity about him on his media Zoom call, a young man comfortable in his own skin, a self-described football junkie who has already done homework on the team and on the town.”
