Libbie Mugrabi now behind over $500K in condo rent: lawsuit

Socialite Libbie Mugrabi is behind on over $500,000 in unpaid rent for her luxury Yorkville condo, new court papers allege.

The owner of the ritzy East 82nd Street building — called the Park Mansion — alleges that Mugrabi hasn’t paid her $28,800 monthly rent since April 2020 and has been living in the apartment despite her lease running out in November, according to a Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit from Monday.

Landlord 320 E 82nd Owner, LLC previously brought Mugrabi to housing court in August seeking to evict her claiming she owed nearly $150,000 in rent arrears.

At the time, a source close to Mugrabi claimed that she wasn’t shirking her responsibilities but rather her billionaire art-scion ex David Mugrabi — with whom she was settling a divorce — had stopped paying her bills.

Now, the owner says it didn’t renew her Sept. 28, 2018 lease after it expired Nov. 30, 2020 and since then she has been “liable to plaintiff for her continued possession of the premises beyond the lease’s term at 200% of the last monthly rent for each month thereafter until plaintiff recovers possession of the premises,” the court papers allege.

From December through April 2021, the landlord claims in the court docs that she owes $57,680 a month.

The suit is seeking a total judgment of $569,504 from Mugrabi for rent arrears, utilities and late fees, the court filing says.

“Mrs. Mugrabi denies all of the allegations in these papers and she looks forward to her day in court where the evidence will show that none of these allegations contain a scintilla of truth,” her lawyer, Ken Jewell, said in a statement.
