Patrick Mahomes and fiancée Brittany Matthews celebrate 9th anniversary

Nine years and forever to go for Patrick Mahomes and fiancée Brittany Matthews.

On Wednesday, the parents of 1-month-old daughter Sterling Skye celebrated their ninth dating anniversary.

“9 Years with my Favorite Human❤️🥰
I Love You Lots!!” Matthews gushed of the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback.

High school sweethearts, Matthews and Mahomes, both 25, announced their engagement this past September. The couple got engaged at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, the same night the Chiefs received their Super Bowl 2020 rings.

Later that month, Matthews revealed she was pregnant with the couple’s first child.

“Mom & Dad, taking a small detour to the wedding,” Matthews posted at the time.

Matthews gave birth to daughter Sterling in February. She and Mahomes plan to tie the knot next year.

As part of their anniversary celebrations on Wednesday, Mahomes and Matthews enjoyed candlelit dinner, complete with rose petals scattered on the floor.

Matthews, a personal trainer, also shared a few moments from the pair’s romantic evening on her Instagram story. In one post, a photo of Matthews and Mahomes sharing a kiss in Kansas City is mounted on a wooden boxes with candles at both sides.

Mahomes recently completed his fourth NFL season, with the Chiefs falling to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl 2021 in February.

This past summer, Mahomes signed the richest contract in sports history, a 10-year extension with the Chiefs worth $503 million.

Mahomes and Matthews currently reside in a $1.75 million home in Kansas City that has three bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths.
