Ioan Gruffudd files for divorce from Alice Evans

Ioan Gruffudd officially filed for divorce from estranged wife Alice Evans after she claimed he was “leaving his family.”

Gruffudd, 47, filed for dissolution on Monday in the Los Angeles Superior Court, according to court record obtained by Page Six. It’s unclear if Evans is requesting child or spousal support or if there is a prenuptial agreement in place, as only Gruffudd’s financial information has been filed with the court so far.

A rep for Gruffudd didn’t immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.

Evans tweeted in January that the “Fantastic Four” star had left her because he “no longer” loved her. A week later, 49-year-old Evans expressed her heartbreak over the dissolution of her marriage in a follow-up post, describing the pain as “excruciating.”

After Evans’ breakup announcement was removed, she claimed the “Titanic” actor deleted it.

“I didn’t delete the tweet from a few hours ago about him leaving,” she wrote. “He did. From my account.”

The tide for the now-former couple appeared to turned, as Evans returned to social media once more to say that she and Gruffudd were “discussing legal separation, but we are still friends.”

Evans and Gruffudd married in 2007 and have two daughters: 11-year-old Ella and 7-year-old Elsie.
