Former ‘Southern Charm’ star Cameran Eubanks participating in vaccine trial

Former “Southern Charm” star Cameran Eubanks is doing her part to help stop the spread.

Eubanks, 37, revealed that she is participating in a vaccine trial study via Instagram on Tuesday, captioning a photo of herself receiving the shot, “Excited to take part in the #Novavax phase 3 vaccine trial. 💉. Science is cool and I am grateful for it! #LabRat #AintScared.”

In the comments section, the former reality star — who is married to a doctor — added that she will receive two shots, 21 days apart.

“I am excited about this vaccine because it is a Protein vaccine which is tried and true technology,” the “One Day You’ll Thank Me” author wrote. “Same way a flu shot works. I am hoping it gets approved!”

She also told a follower that she is planning to vaccinate her daughter, Palmer, 3, “as soon as they are approved for children.”

When asked if there is a chance she will actually be receiving a placebo vaccine, she commented, “this trial is a 2 to 1 placebo so 66% chance you get the vaccine 34% placebo.”

The New York Post reported last month that the Novavax vaccine is almost 90 percent effective against COVID-19, but just under 50 percent effective against the new South African variant.

The vaccine entered its Phase 3 trial in the United States and Mexico just before New Year’s.

Eubanks’ rep didn’t immediately get back to us.
