Larry King told Charlamagne tha God the best interview question to ask

Larry King once advised top radio host Charlamagne the God on the greatest question he could ask any guest.

“One of the best pieces of advice that Larry King ever gave me is when I asked him what the most important question you can ask during an interview was — and he said, ‘Why,'” Charlamagne told us.

While the one-word question sounds simple, Charlamagne elaborated, “Why is what makes people go deeper… Why did you do that? Why did you say [that]? It’s always the most important question to ask in any conversation. That’s a piece of advice that I’ve always taken from him, and definitely use, since he told me.”

King died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles due to COVID-19 complications at 87.

“The Breakfast Club” host further recalled that King “was one of the greatest interviewers of all time, and what made him so good was that people came to him and they were just comfortable. Larry King was not a ‘got you’-style interviewer. He was not looking for salacious headlines; he wasn’t looking for any clickbait. He was just asking the questions that were out there and giving you a chance to explain them.”

King visited Charlamagne’s 105.1 station in 2015 and said at the time that he wanted to be “frozen” after he died. He said he wanted to be, “frozen and kept alive so that I could be brought back to life when a cure was found, based on whatever I died from.”

King also brought up wanting to be frozen after his death in interviews with Dr. Oz, Conan O’Brien and others.
