Surf Lodge’s Aspen outpost will open after all

The Aspen outpost of Montauk fave Surf Lodge’s is opening after all.

It had planned to open the sceney pop-up this winter, with food provided by Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s Flat Iron District eatery ABCV.

But back in November, it announced that it was canceling the plans due to the “recent spike in COVID-19 cases.”

Then on Tuesday, the hotspot’s owner Jayma Cardoso revealed that the Colorado locale would open after all. This time it has partnered with New York’s Dante restaurant.

“The patio will remain open, offering fire pits, outdoor seating, après ski bites, and craft cocktails, with all COVID-19 safety measures being implemented. Additionally, limited indoor seating will be available in accordance with local government regulations,” she said in an announcement.

The spot will employ social distancing, table dividers, temperature checks and contact tracing.

We’re told Dante is “better suited for take-out and delivery friendly.”

Snow Lodge plans to partner with ABCV next winter.
