We tried Alicia Keys’ Keys Soulcare, and here’s our honest review

The keys to self-care?

As if you needed another reason to kick back with a bubble bath and a face mask at home this year, Alicia Keys’ new lifestyle beauty brand, Keys Soulcare, launched December 3 with its first three-product “ritual” – the Skin Transformation Cream ($30), Obsidian Facial Roller ($25) and Sage + Oat Milk Candle ($38).

“We’re so busy all the time that I don’t think we create these small rituals for ourselves,” the Grammy winner, 39, said in a statement. “Even the five minutes it takes to wash my face — when I’m able to create that space for myself I feel more beautiful, more powerful, more possible. That’s soulcare.”

Keys worked with board-certified dermatologist and W3LL People co-founder Dr. Renée Snyder to develop the clean and cruelty-free line. And each product comes with an affirmation — the candle’s, for instance, is, “I shine at full wattage,” while the cream’s reads, “I welcome all circumstances as catalysts for change.”

In the latest episode of “Style Trial,” two Page Six editors share their honest reviews of Keys Soulcare after trying out the first “ritual” for about a week. Watch the video above for their full thoughts, and see their top takeaways — and shop the products — below.

Skin Transformation Cream ($30)

PROS: Keys Soulcare’s first skincare offering includes dermatologist-approved ingredients like bakuchiol — a plant-based retinol alternative that’s great for sensitive skin — and hyaluronic acid. Both Page Six Style editor Elana Fishman and Page Six assistant managing producer Kayla Clough found it surprisingly rich and hydrating, despite its lightweight feel. Plus, the purple glass packaging is just so pretty.

CONS: While subtle, there is an added fragrance, so those wary of scented products may want to steer clear.

Obsidian Facial Roller ($25)

PROS: This beauty tool is made from obsidian, a volcanic glass that some believe repels negativity and promotes tranquility. We’re not quite sure about that, but Elana definitely enjoyed using it to sooth bruxism-induced jaw tension, particularly after chilling it in the fridge.

CONS: None.

Sage + Oat Milk Candle ($38)

PROS: “This scent is me in a bottle,” Keys said of this candle, which blends the warmth and smokiness of sage with the sweet and soothing qualities of oat milk. Kayla in particular loved the scent, which she said she’d happily buy as a room spray or body wash as well.

CONS: At $38, this candle definitely isn’t cheap.
