Larry King to pay estranged wife Shawn $33K per month in spousal support

Larry King is taking out his checkbook.

The media titan will pay estranged wife Shawn Southwick King $33,000 per month in spousal support, according to legal documents filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court, which were obtained by Page Six.

King, 87, also has agreed to pay Shawn, 61, a one-time lump sum of $20,000.

The interim agreement will last until the former couple’s hearing, set for April 29, 2021, in which they’ll determine whether Shawn can receive retroactive payment for the year-plus since King filed to end their marriage in August 2019.

Shawn first filed for spousal support in September 2020.

King, who recently spent his birthday in the hospital for a blood-flow issue, previously said their 26-year age gap, in addition to their religious differences, took a toll on the marriage.

“Also my wife is a very religious Mormon, and I’m an agnostic atheist, so that causes little problems,” he said. “We overcame a lot, but it just hit a point where we didn’t get along.”

Friends of Shawn’s later told Page Six that she was “blindsided” by the filing.

Shawn was King’s seventh wife and his eighth divorce over the years. He has five children, two of whom he shares with Shawn.
