Diplo hit with temporary restraining order in revenge porn case

A California judge ordered DJ and producer Diplo to stop posting explicit images of a woman online as part of a temporary restraining order connected to an ongoing revenge porn case against him, a report said.

Diplo, whose real name is Thomas Wesley, will be barred from posting photos of the unidentified woman — unless he’s given written permission to do so — and will have to delete any images he had previously posted of her, the restraining order states, NBC News reported.

In a statement to the news network, Diplo’s attorney maintained he never violated the law when posting the photos.

“He has repeatedly made it clear that he wants nothing whatsoever to do with this person — and simply needs her ongoing harassment of his family to end,” Bryan Freedman told NBC News.

The woman claims in her suit the Diplo met her when she was 17 years old, then had an intimate relationship with her several years later in which they exchanged sexually explicit images.

In October, the woman shared in social media posts that she believed the DJ “preyed” on people like her and that he recorded them having sex after she asked him not to, according to the report.

Someone responded to her posts with a sexually explicit video that she says she only shared with the DJ. In the suit, she claims the sharing of the video was an act of revenge porn by Diplo.
