Kathryn Dennis and Thomas Ravenel’s relationship makes waves on ‘Southern Charm’ premiere

Thomas Ravenel may be off of “Southern Charm,” but he’s still stirring up drama in Charleston.

As seen in an exclusive clip from Thursday night’s premiere, Ravenel’s contentious relationship with Kathryn Dennis becomes a focal point during a chat between two of the show’s stars, Craig Conover and Austen Kroll. 

Kroll — wearing a purple bathrobe — quickly turns the conversation from his on-again, off-again relationship with Madison LeCroy to the disgraced politician and Dennis’ rollercoaster relationship when he comes across a social media post.

“Hey, did you see Kathryn’s story on Instagram?” he asks Conover. “Just listen.”

In the story, Dennis is cuddling Saint, her son with Ravenel, as the little boy sleeps on her. In the background, Ravenel’s voice can be heard saying, “This person liked, liked my tweet.”

“That’s Thomas’ voice?” says Conover — wearing pajamas with dogs on them (a la Patricia Altschul’s caftan line).

“I mean, that’s what it sounds like to me,” Kroll smiles.

In a confessional, he continues, “I mean, talk about two people that can’t quit each other.”

Dennis, 29, and Ravenel, 58, began dating in the earlier seasons of “Southern Charm,” but their relationship quickly went downhill as they welcomed their children, Kensie, now 6, and Saint, now 4. They subsequently broke up and Ravenel was fired from Bravo after sexual assault allegations were made against him.

He was ultimately given a 30-day suspended sentence and a $500 fine in the assault and battery case against him by his children’s former nanny who accused him of assault.

Now, it appears that both Dennis and Ravenel have both moved on — for the time being.

Ravenel welcomed a son, Jonathan Jackson Ravenel, with Heather Mascoe in June, while Dennis moved on with Chleb Ravenell.

Season 7 of “Southern Charm” premieres on Thursday at 9 p.m. ET. on Bravo.
