Sheila E. and Patti Austin have brought back their 2012 song “L.O.V.E. (Let One Voice Emerge),” and they dished about the tune at a TWIST 2020 “This Is Why I Vote” virtual event.
The song also features Fergie, Keke Palmer, Lalah Hathaway and Alyssa Milano.
Sheila thanked “all the singers … and I mean singing divas” on the track. “They gave me one little line. It was a blessing.”
Angela Davis, Ledisi and Chaka Khan were also at the event hosted by Tanika Ray. Said Khan: “My grandmother . . . insisted that my mother vote. My mother also insisted that I vote. And I insist that my children vote.”
