Armie Hammer’s marriage was sent into a downward spiral after his wife, Elizabeth Chambers, discovered texts from a mystery woman on his cellphone, according to the Daily Mail.
The supposedly passionate messages were signed “Adeline,” the UK paper reported.
Chambers, 38, apparently found the messages in April 2019 and was “devastated,” according to the report.
At the time, Hammer, 34, was busy shooting the new Netflix movie “Rebecca” with Lily James — who was recently spotted canoodling with her married “The Pursuit of Love” co-star Dominic West.
The 31-year-old actress was referred to as “Adeline” on the “Rebecca” call sheets and on her trailer, sources claimed to the Mail.
The sources also claimed that James was spotted flirting with her on-screen hubby Hammer, even though she knew he was a married dad of two.
“She was not subtle. And he was into it, no doubt about it. She was touching him constantly, giving him long, smoldering looks,” the source said.
After Chambers reportedly found the texts, she was “devastated, heartbroken,” the source said.
But she tried to repair her 10-year marriage, and she and Hammer went to couples therapy and had plans to renew their vows, according to the Mail.
The final straw was receiving a sexually explicit text Chambers allegedly knew wasn’t meant for her, the report said.
The couple announced their split on July 10.
“It has been an incredible journey, but together, we’ve decided to turn the page and move on from our marriage,” they wrote in a statement.
Page Six exclusively revealed that Hammer, who has been living in Palm Springs, Calif., briefly dated app founder Courtney Vucekovich this summer.
He also was spotted on a date with Josh Lucas’ ex, Jessica Ciencin Henriquez, and seen strolling with Rumer Willis.
