Jessica Alba: I wasn’t allowed to look at the ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ cast

Another show, another no-eye-contact rule.

Jessica Alba revealed on “Hot Ones” that while appearing on “Beverly Hills, 90210” back in the ’90s, she was told she wasn’t allowed to look at the rest of the cast.

“I couldn’t even make eye contact with any of the cast members, which was really strange when you’re like trying to do a scene with them,” she told host Sean Evans.

Alba, 39, appeared in Season 8 of the hit series as Leanne, a pregnant teenager who walked into a clinic where Kelly Taylor (Jennie Garth) was working.

“It was like, ‘You’re not allowed to make eye contact with any one of the cast members or you’ll be thrown off the set.'”

Season 8, which aired in 1998, starred Garth, Jason Priestley, Ian Ziering, Brian Austin Green, Tori Spelling, Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, Joe E. Tata, Hilary Swank and Vincent Young.

No-eye-contact rules seem to be popular in Hollywood, as an Australian producer recently revealed that he wasn’t allowed to look at Ellen DeGeneres when she appeared on his own morning show.
