‘Crazy Rich Asians’ actress Lisa Lu selling $3M Zhang Daqian painting

This “Crazy Rich Asians” actress might be getting crazy rich.

Lisa Lu, who played the grandmother in the 2018 flick, is selling a painting from her personal art collection by renowned Chinese artist Zhang Daqian, also known as Chang Dai-chien, that is estimated to be worth nearly $3,000,000.

The masterpiece, titled “Ancient Pine in Lush Mountainscape,” was “a gift from the painter,” that was “treasured and kept in Lisa’s family for decades,” Sotheby’s wrote in a statement to Instagram on Wednesday.

Comprised of splashed ink and color on silk, the painting depicts the “lush green scenery” of Lu’s home in 1971, according to the auction house.

The work of art is being auctioned off by Sotheby’s in the Fine Chinese Paintings Sale in Hong Kong taking place in October.

Lu’s rep had no comment.
