Kanye West shows off ‘2020 Vision’ merch for his presidential run

Kanye West is giving his fans a glimpse at the merchandise to accompany his 2020 presidential campaign.

The 43-year-old rapper — who plans to run as neither a Republican nor Democrat, but as a member of the “Birthday Party” — took to Twitter Wednesday morning to share images of his “Kanye 2020 Vision” hat and T-shirt.

West’s merch bears a striking resemblance to the designs of ’80s skate brand Vision Street Wear, which the star openly acknowledged by tweeting a photo of Rihanna in one of the company’s shirts and writing, “Uuuum … 🙉… yeah now what.”

It’s not just copycat merchandise that’s proved problematic for West during his long-shot run for the White House. Since announcing his bid on July 4, he’s missed multiple state filing deadlines. And in his home state of Illinois, West was booted from the ballot due to invalid signatures.

But if the hype surrounding the rapper’s Sunday Service and album merch is any indication, it’s likely his fans will happily pay up for his “2020 Vision” wares anyway.
