Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams celebrate their would-be wedding day

Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams celebrated their wedding day a bit differently Saturday, in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic putting their nuptials on hold.

“A couple, a pandemic, & a postponed wedding: A series,” the “Modern Family” actress, 29, began on Instagram. “We were supposed to get married today. Instead… we took pictures and drank wine. I love you to Pluto & back @wellsadams.”

In the gallery, Hyland — who announced her engagement to “Bachelorette” alum Adams, 36, last July — is seen wearing white as she and her fiancé goofed off for the camera. They also sported “Mr.” and “Mrs.” masks.

Adams also posted about the occasion on social media.

“We were supposed to get married today. We didn’t. But I still got to grab a butt. So, ya know, still pretttty cool,” Adams captioned the shot.

In May, Adams spoke to “Access Hollywood” about the wedding amid the global health crisis.

“I think the thought was that we’d originally start thinking about that around this time, but now this is happening… What’s the point of even trying to get something solidified with everything being just so up in the air?” Adams said at the time.

Hyland and Adams aren’t the only future newlyweds who have celebrated their would-be wedding date. In June, former “Bachelorette” JoJo Fletcher and fiancé Jordan Rodgers addressed their postponed date, noting they’ll wed in 2021.
