JoJo Fletcher on ‘difficult’ first year with Jordan Rodgers post-‘Bachelorette’

JoJo Fletcher and fiancé Jordan Rodgers “went through a lot of different struggles” after getting engaged on “The Bachelorette” in 2016.

While reliving the early stages of their relationship on Monday’s episode of “The Bachelor: Greatest Season Ever,” the former “Bachelorette” said she was unsure if the couple was destined to survive the long-haul.

“Our first year after the show was very difficult,” Fletcher said, according to People. “We went through a lot of different struggles.”

Rodgers, 31, the younger brother of Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, proposed to Fletcher, 29, during the Season 12 finale of the ABC reality series. Though committed to one another, Rodgers said the pair questioned if that was enough.

“We sat down together and we were like, ‘We love each other, but is that enough right now?’ It was a fork in the road and we chose to stay together and we’re better for it, but it was not easy,'” Rodgers said.

Together for four years, Rodgers popped the question to Fletcher again last summer, presenting the Texas native with a 5-carat sparkler from Ring Concierge. While their wedding has since been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, Fletcher recently told Page Six they’ll celebrate when the time is right.

“We’ve been engaged for four years, so we’re like a little bit longer, we can handle. It’ll be way more worth the wait, that’s kind of how we’re thinking,” Fletcher told us. “We’re just looking forward to the day to come for our friends and family to be there and celebrate the way we always wanted to celebrate.”

Earlier this month, Fletcher and Rodgers honored their would-be wedding date, which was Saturday, June 13.

“As you guys know, we have spent the last 11 months planning the wedding of our dreams but given the circumstances of 2020, we had to make the difficult decision to postpone our special day. Even though I don’t get to marry you todayyyyy @jrodgers11, I know it will be all more worth the wait,” Fletcher posted to Instagram.

“2021, we 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘭𝘺𝘺𝘺𝘺𝘺 can’t wait for you,” she continued.
