Jax Taylor, Brittany Cartwright celebrate 1-year wedding anniversary

“Vanderpump Rules” stars Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright celebrated their first wedding anniversary amid the ongoing fallout after four of their cast members were axed for past racist behavior.

On Monday, Taylor, 40, and Cartwright, 31, posted tributes to each other on social media to commemorate the milestone, but turned off the comments section to avoid any negative remarks.

“Happy 1st anniversary to my queen, my ride or die, my best friend. I love you to the moon,” Taylor captioned a picture of Cartwright in her wedding dress.

Cartwright also captioned a photo of the couple taken on their big day, “Happy 1 year anniversary honey! ❤️❤️ Thank you for making me laugh every single day and for being my best friend. You’re my lobster and I love you to pieces.”

In addition, the Kentucky-born reality star shared via Instagram Stories a video of Taylor swimming in her family pool. Cartwright has been in Kentucky since mid-June caring for her mother Sherri Cartwright, who had been hospitalized following complications from bladder surgery, while Taylor joined her last week.

The timing of Cartwright’s family emergency came on the heels of Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute’s firing from “Vanderpump Rules,” after their former black cast member Faith Stowers claimed the pair called the cops on her for a crime she did not commit in 2018.

Meanwhile, resurfaced tweets from 2017 show that Taylor has also accused Stowers of committing crimes in the past.

Last year, Taylor and Cartwright’s wedding itself was at the center of controversy after they had to fire their pastor, Ryan Dotson, over resurfaced anti-LGBTQ remarks he made. The couple ultimately hired Lance Bass, who was Taylor’s business partner, to officiate as a replacement.
