‘Bachelor’ Peter Weber, Madison Prewett are already over 2 days after finale

Pilot Peter Weber is flying solo.

On Thursday, “The Bachelor” star, 28, revealed he and finalist Madison Prewett “mutually decided to not pursue our relationship any further,” detailing his love for the 23-year-old Alabama native in an emotional Instagram post.

“Madi, thank you for your patience and unconditional love. You’re the epitome of a woman who carries herself with grace, stands by what she believes in, and loves whole heartedly. That love is something I feel so grateful to have felt and will take a piece of that with me always going forward,” Weber wrote.

Weber, whose “Bachelor” journey wrapped Tuesday, initially proposed to fellow finalist Hannah Ann Sluss, 23, during the show’s finale. It was later revealed the pair called off their engagement amid Weber’s lingering feelings for Prewett, who had previously broken up with him. His family — mother Barbara, in particular — made it clear she was on Team Sluss.

“When I went for Hannah Ann, she was the one who embraced me with love,” Barbara said. “The next day we met Madison and it started on a rocky road because she made us wait three hours to come in — she didn’t want to meet us. We had just come across the world, we were exhausted … and we had to wait three hours. And when she did come in, we didn’t get an apology.”

Barbara — who also posted a curious Instagram video singing John Denver’s “Leaving On A Jet Plane” shortly after the breakup announcement — added, “He’s going to have to fail to succeed.”

As for Weber himself, he said the decision to part ways from Prewett was “not easy.”

“After a lot of honest conversations, we have agreed that this is what makes most sense for the two of us. The love and respect I have for Madi will continue to endure,” Weber shared.

While Prewett, commented, “Thankful for you P,” on Weber’s post, she also penned a note of her own.

“As Peter and I have decided to go our separate ways, I am confident that we will both move in the direction of our purpose and never forget that God has a plan in all things,” Prewett wrote. “I will always love and respect him. I am convinced our paths were meant to cross and we are both better because they did.”

She continued, “@pilot_pete you are an amazing guy and I’m thankful for you. I will always be your biggest fan. And to the amazing women I met this season, I will love you for life. Thank you @abcnetwork for allowing me to embark on this journey.”

Prewett’s relationship with Weber was tested this season, particularly when she informed him of her intentions to save herself for marriage.
