Beanie Feldstein’s mom wants her to have a kid with Ben Platt

Is there a baby “Beanie” in the works?

If actress Beanie Feldstein‘s mother had her way, the answer would be yes. And who might the potential father be? Feldstein’s mother has an idea for that, too — Tony Award-winning actor Ben Platt.

“My mom begged us to have a kid together,” the “Booksmart” actress giggled at the opening night of the Athena Film Festival at Barnard College on Wednesday night. As Feldstein tells it, her mother’s motives were made clear when she tried to sell her daughter on the idea, proclaiming, “For the sake of musical theater, you have to have a kid together!”

Feldstein and Platt, both 26, have been friends since the two first met at a bat-mitzvah, bonding over their shared love of musical theater. The duo became fast friends while attending Los Angele’s prestigious Harvard-Westlake School.

However, before baby watchers gear up, Feldstein doesn’t seem in any rush to put a “Bean” in the oven — although she would welcome Platt into any future family plans.

“He’s the best with kids and we really love kids,” she said. “I don’t know if we’ll have kids together, but our kids will be like family.”

Feldstein is currently dating producer Bonnie Chance Robert who she met in 2019 on the set of “How to Build a Girl.” “I just feel so lucky to have found her,” she gushed.

Meanwhile, Feldstein looks to have her hands full with upcoming roles in “Grey’s Anatomy” and Richard Linklater’s adaptation of Stephen Sondheim’s “Merrily We Roll Along,” where she will star alongside — you guessed it — Ben Platt.
