Video appears to show former high-end Hamptons gallerist Ruth Vered kicking cop

The former owner of a high-end East Hampton art gallery, was dragged out of Sag Harbor restaurant Wednesday during a documentary viewing, cops said.

Police were called to remove an allegedly unruly Ruth Kalb from a Main Street restaurant, Tutto Il Giorno, around 9 p.m. during a screening of “Conscience Point” — after she refused to leave, according to the East Hampton Star.

An onlooker captured the ordeal unfold as the 80-year-old woman screamed and struggled with cops.

“No way! Don’t you dare!” yelled Kalb, also known as Ruth Vered, as cops walked her out of the restaurant.

“Just go home,” one cop remarks before Kalb kicks one of the officers.

“How very stupid this is…That was stupid,” the cop says as the two roll her over and cuff the 80-year-old.

“Take pictures of them! Take pictures, please!” Kalb pleads as the onlooker films the exchange.

“Mam, you are being put under arrest for assaulting a police officer,” one of the officers says.

“I did not,” she responds.

“You kicked me in the leg. Yes you did,” the cop calmly responds, before adding, “All you had to do was walk out, that’s it.

“Why’d you have to kick me?”

As Kalb is walked away, she continues to scream — yelling, “Shame! Shame on you!”

Cops charged her with harassment, trespassing and resisting arrest, a criminal complaint shows.

Kalb was hauled out in cuffs for serving liquor without a license in 2008 while she was hosting a reception at her gallery on the East End.

Kalb could not immediately be reached for comment.
