Miley Cyrus jokes about why she wasn’t ‘invited’ to 2020 Grammys

Miley Cyrus likes to get lit at awards shows, but apparently not in the way show producers condone.

The “Slide Away” singer joked she may have not been “invited” the 2020 Grammys because she once smoked a blunt onstage while hosting the 2013 MTV EMAs in Amsterdam.

“& we wonder why I’m not invited to award shows anymore ….,” Miley, now 27, captioned an old clip of her at age 20 taking out weed from her purse and lighting up onstage.

Her famous friends immediately threw their support to Cyrus.

“I’d have you at mine if I had one,” Lisa Rinna wrote in the comments.

Designer Alexander Wang added, “Don’t ever change.”

Miley could have at the very least been a plus-one to music’s biggest night on Sunday because although she wasn’t nominated this year, her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, was up for three awards for his collab with Lil Nas X for “Old Town Road.”

Billy Ray and Lil Nas X took home two out of the three awards for Best Music Video and Best Pop Duo/ Group Performance.

Miley gave both singers a shout-out in a separate post, writing, “Huge congrats to @lilnasx and @billyraycyrus on their Grammy wins last night ! I love you both like family …. well one I HAVE to love like family and the other one I WANT to! love u bro.”
