Harvey Weinstein was chased by tiny Chihuahua around accuser’s apartment

Harvey Weinstein was once one of the most powerful men in Hollywood — but he was no match for Peanut the Chihuahua.

A “frightened” Weinstein was once chased around the apartment of one of his accusers by a tiny pooch belonging to her roommate, jurors in his rape trial heard on Tuesday.

Elizabeth Entin, who shared an East Village apartment with accuser Miriam “Mimi” Haleyi, testified in Manhattan Supreme Court of the disgraced movie mogul’s humiliating encounter with little Peanut in 2006.

“She said Harvey Weinstein showed up at our apartment . . . She said he just, you know, pushed his way in,” Entin said, recalling a phone call she got from Haleyi.

“Then we started kind of laughing about it because apparently, my dog, this small Chihuahua, was chasing him around and he was kind of frightened about it . . . He said, ‘What is this thing? Get it away from me.’ ”

The doggie drama occurred sometime before Weinstein allegedly forcibly performed oral sex on Haleyi at his Soho apartment on July 10, 2006.

The fallen film mogul later laughed off Entin’s testimony as he left the courtroom.

“Are you afraid of Chihuahuas?” a reporter asked him.

“Do I look like I’m afraid of Chihuahuas?” Weinstein shot back with a chuckle, as he pushed along the walker he’s been using since back surgery in December.

Weinstein faces up to life in prison on predatory sexual assault and other charges involving Haleyi and two other women. He has denied any wrongdoing.

Earlier in the day, Entin told jurors that Haleyi, then a production assistant who worked on the Weinstein-produced show “Project Runway,” confided in her about her alleged sexual assault.

“She was very nervous. She was pacing. She seemed anxious,” Entin recalled about Haleyi hovering in the doorway of her bedroom.

“She was still saying stop and he pulled off her underwear, pulled out her tampon and went down on her while she was still saying no . . . I said, ‘Miriam, that sounds like rape.’ ”

Entin said she once met Weinstein when he came up to their apartment on East Sixth Street near Avenue B.

“He put his arm around Miriam, his hand on her stomach and pulled her to him and said, ‘This is the hottest woman I know!’ ” Entin said.

The then-fashion assistant said Weinstein just seemed like a “pathetic” old man at the time.

“At the time, prior to the rape, I didn’t think it was going to go that far . . . We saw it as kind of pathetic, older man trying really hard to hit on Miriam, so we kind of laughed it up,” she said.

Also Tuesday, prosecutors gave jurors a look at Weinstein’s once-glamorous life before his career was torpedoed by a torrent of sexual-misconduct allegations.

A series of photos flashed in court showed a much younger — and healthier-looking — Weinstein rubbing elbows with Quentin Tarantino, Bill Clinton and others.

One snap showed a smiling Weinstein, who won a Best Picture Oscar for “Shakespeare in Love,” with his now ex-wife, Georgina Chapman, at Paris Fashion Week in 2006 — five days before he allegedly sexually assaulted Haleyi.
