Sundance Film Festival reacts to Kobe Bryant’s death

PARK CITY, Utah — The shocking and devastating news of Kobe Bryant’s death left the Sundance Film Festival shocked and rattled.

Festival goers poured into bars and restaurants to watch the news coverage on TVs.

“I can’t believe this,” one patron of No Name Saloon told Page Six. “Look around, everyone is glued to their phones refreshing Twitter or staring at the TV.”

“It’s so sad,” another festival attendee said. “You think of his wife and kids.”

Another was frustrated with the fake news being spread online, saying, “So much of it is unconfirmed. The news is spiraling and it makes it so much worse.”

A group of four men was seen ordering a round of tequila shots and toasting to the late NBA legend.

Up and down Main Street, the central hub of the festival, people were breaking the news to those who had been inside screenings and other events.

Bryant died Sunday morning in a helicopter crash at the age of 41. His 13-year-old daughter Gianna is also reportedly among the dead.
