Rita Wilson can laugh at herself.
The actress, 63, hired a new hair and makeup artist for the SAG Awards 2020 after a no-show glam squad threatened to ruin her look for last month’s Golden Globes — and thanked her for showing up on time.
“Thank you @adriana_tesler,” she captioned a snap of herself wearing a red velvet dress. “For the glam and for always being on time.”
Kris Jenner commented that Wilson looked “STUNNING 😍😍,” while Kate Bosworth said she looked “BEAUTIFUL ❤️.” Kristin Chenoweth, Christy Turlington and Vicky Cornell also showed their support in the comment section of Wilson’s Instagram post.
Wilson went viral before she even hit the carpet at the Golden Globes when she blasted her hair and makeup artist for showing up more than an hour and a half late, live-tweeting the agonizing wait time and posting a makeup-free selfie.
Though she eventually made it to the red carpet with her children and husband Tom Hanks, who accepted the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the show, she has clearly severed ties with her previous glam squad after receiving a flood of support from others in the industry offering their services.
Adriana Tesler, who is responsible for the SAG Awards look, was one of the many who reached out after the Globes, the artist tells Page Six Style. She has previously worked with Wilson and counts Sara Foster, jeweler Jennifer Meyer, Nicky Hilton and more among her other celebrity clients. “I’ve been working with Rita for years,” Tesler tells us. “I always love working with Rita!”
