“Property Brothers” star Jonathan Scott has opened up about his relationship with girlfriend Zooey Deschanel and revealed that she gets along well with his loved ones.
“It’s very, very important for me that the person I’m in love with also gets the approval of my whole family,” Scott, 41, recently told People. “Absolutely everybody has clicked with Zooey.”
Scott’s twin brother, Drew, agreed that the “New Girl” actress is loved by all.
“They’re both amazing humans, and we love the idea of having her in our lives,” he said.
Jonathan explained a little bit about what makes 39-year-old Deschanel such a catch.
“She’s just a very considerate person and that’s what I’m looking for,” he said. “I had said the most important thing for me is you have to have a sense of humor, you know I want someone who is outgoing and athletic, but also kind and she’s definitely kind.”
The couple met on the set of “Carpool Karaoke” in September 2019 and instantly fell for each other. They then made their relationship Instagram official that October. They made their red carpet debut at the Critics’ Choice Documentary Awards in November 2019.
A week before they started dating, Deschanel announced she was splitting up from her husband of four years, Jacob Pechenik.
Pechenik officially filed to divorce Deschanel in October 2019.
