Laura Dern is reveling in her Golden Globes win

After winning her first-ever Golden Globe for a movie role on Sunday, “Marriage Story” actress Laura Dern is reveling in her win and praising her longstanding relationship with critics.

“I’ve been so blessed,” she told Page Six at the New York Film Critics Awards on Tuesday night at Tao. “I was honored by the critics on both coasts as a 15-, 16-year-old kid. I mean, who gets that? To be 15, 16 and critics champion me? Really?”

Dern, 52, was nominated for her first Oscar when she was 22 years old for lead actress in “Rambling Rose.” Since then she’s been nominated for one more Oscar and taken home four Golden Globes for her various TV roles.

Despite all that critical adulation at such a young age, the “Jurassic Park” star says it never turned her head and that’s mainly due to her parents — character actors Bruce Dern and Diane Ladd.

“I was raised by actors who were very to the point and make it about the craft,” she explained. “They were not into the glamor and all of it, they just loved acting. I think that’s a very grounding upbringing in that way and it was a very different time when I started.”

She continued, “There were no followers, no awareness of what the public thinks. In fact the critic and actor was the only relationship you got from the outside world and it was a beautifully supportive relationship. Some critics really guided my career in a lovely way.”

One reason why Dern may have been so gushing towards critics was because she took home another accolade on Tuesday at the New York Film Critics Awards for her work in “Marriage Story” and “Little Women.”

Good pal and “Big Little Lies” co-star Reese Witherspoon was on hand to present her with the honor.
