Ramy Youssef’s Golden Globe trophy searched by TSA

A curious TSA agent flagged Ramy Youssef’s luggage after his Golden Globe trophy raised alarms.

Youssef, who won best actor in a television series musical or comedy for his work on the Hulu series “Ramy,” recorded the experience on his Instagram story, beginning with the boxed trophy going through the scanner and ultimately ending up in the female agent’s hands.

“Is that part of the test or what?” a laughing Youssef asks the agent as she poses with the trophy before doing the obligatory wipe down. “You gotta make sure that it passed.”

Youssef, 28, ended the video with a more serious comment, writing, “The ‘random’ checks you have to deal with when you have a Muslim name.”
