Rita Wilson hits Golden Globes 2020 red carpet with Tom Hanks after makeup snafu
Rita Wilson made it.
The actress, 63, was in a bind right before the Golden Globes 2020 red carpet when her hair and makeup artist was more than an hour late.
Though she live-tweeted the fiasco as it unfolded — attempting to “be zen” throughout — someone must have come to Wilson’s rescue, because the star made it to the award show with husband Tom Hanks, who will be receiving the Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievement.
She hit the red carpet alongside Hanks wearing a bronze sequin gown, with her hair perfectly curled and smokey eye in place. The couple’s sons Colin, Chet and Truman, along with daughter Elizabeth, attended as well.
The pre-show drama left many on social media — including Chrissy Teigen — guessing about who was responsible for the mishap and sighing with relief that Wilson pulled it together at the last minute. “I cannot go on until I know who, I have no life,” Teigen tweeted.
It remains to be seen if Hanks pitched in, or whether Wilson’s original glam squad eventually showed up.
