Kim Kardashian mourns not being able to wear too-small Versace dress

Even Kim Kardashian can’t wear everything she wants.

The 39-year-old reality star shared a throwback photo with her Instagram followers on Thursday from a fitting for a Versace gown that was unfortunately too small.

“How good would this @versace dress have been if it fit,” the KKW Beauty founder wrote in the caption, adding a crying emoji.

The vintage look that didn’t work out for the mobile mogul was a deep burgundy bedazzled column dress that conformed to her curves, with a deep U-neckline and contrasting light pink straps.

Kardashian frequently turns to Versace for her red carpet appearances — having worn looks from the label to this year’s People’s Choice Awards and amfAR New York Gala as well as to the 2018 Met Gala — and particularly enjoys wearing pieces from past decades, which can pose fit issues.

“Clothes from previous decades tend to be a lot smaller, so fit can be an issue, especially if you’re not sample size,” Resurrection Vintage’s Katy Rodriguez recently told Page Six Style, calling sizing “one of the hardest things” about wearing archival clothing.

Kardashian’s social media post comes two weeks after the mother of four revealed that she’s started doing night and morning workouts after putting on a few pounds. She’s hoping to lose the weight before her 40th birthday next October.

“Sometimes we fall off and sometimes we really gotta get it together, this is one of my falling off times where I am up, I think 18 lbs up from what I was a year and a half ago, so to feel good I just need to get a really good goal weight, so that means working out at all costs,” she shared on her Instagram Stories.

“It’s my eating. I work out but it’s like, my eating,” she added. “But [my trainer] Melissa and I have a major goal for by the time I’m 40.”
