Keanu Reeves may have a new girlfriend — but despite what Twitter thinks, it’s not Helen Mirren.
The 55-year-old “Matrix” star was spotted holding hands with artist Alexandra Grant at the LACMA Art + Film Gala on Saturday, and many social media users mistook her for the 74-year-old Academy Award-winning actress.
“I wasn’t wearing my glasses at first and I legit thought he was dating Helen Mirren which I also would have been here for,” one person tweeted.
“Keanu Reeves is dating a woman my age who kinda looks like Helen Mirren and I have never been more attracted to him,” another fan chimed in.
“Did anyone else thought when they saw the image of Keanu Reeves with his new partner that she looked like Helen Mirren at first? xD,” another user posted. “Regardless, I’m very happy for Keanu and hope him and Alexandra have a very loving relationship as they have known each other for a long time.”
Mirren, 74, has been married to Taylor Hackford, 74, since 1997.
The relationship with Grant, 46, is the first Reeves has made public in decades.
The “John Wick” star previously dated Jennifer Syme for a period of time in the ’90s, but they split up while coping with the grief of having a stillborn child, People reported. They remained friends until her tragic passing in 2001 when she crashed her Jeep and was thrown from the vehicle.
