Kim and Khloé Kardashian slam Kris Jenner’s Met Gala outfit
Kim and Khloé Kardashian were far from impressed by their mother’s getup for the 2019 Met Gala.
On Sunday’s episode of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” Kris Jenner gave her daughters a sneak peek at her outfit for the high-profile gala that took place in May, the theme for which was “Camp: Notes on Fashion.”
“It’s supposed to be campy and wild,” Jenner, 63, explained before sharing images of her custom Tommy Hilfiger look: a plunging jumpsuit and ruffled coat with enormous, angular shoulders. “Think David Bowie.”
Her children proceeded to absolutely trash their mom’s ensemble. “I need to see this in person ’cause you don’t want to have a big FUPA [fat upper p—y area],” Khloé Kardashian, 35, warned. “What is this, and who do you think you are?!”
“Honestly if I sent this to Kanye [West] he might have a heart attack,” Kim Kardashian, 38, chimed in.
“Thank god we saw these photos, Mom,” Khloé continued. “This is an emergency. You’re so lucky you showed us.”
Added the KKW Beauty mogul: “We literally saved your life.”
Despite her family’s protests, Jenner eventually chose to stick with her look for the big night. She did, however, follow the advice of her youngest daughter Kylie Jenner, who made the last-minute suggestion that her mom go blond. “She was like, ‘Mom, there’s no black hair tonight. You’re going as a blond,” Jenner told E! on the red carpet.
The Kardashian matriarch wasn’t the only one whose Met Gala outfit proved polarizing, either. On the same episode of “KUWTK,” West expressed concerns that his wife’s impossibly waist-cinching Thierry Mugler corset dress was “too sexy” for the red carpet.
“A corset is a form of underwear. It’s hot. For who, though?” the 42-year-old rapper said. “You are my wife, and it affects me when pictures are too sexy.”
Kardashian pushed back, refusing to compromise on her chosen ensemble. “You built me up to be this sexy person and confidence and all this stuff, and just because you’re on a journey and transformation doesn’t mean I’m in the same spot with you,” she explained.
Like mother, like daughter.
