Twitter has decreed it so: Martha Stewart is more “gangsta” than Tekashi 6ix9ine.
America’s favorite homemaker has a better chance of making it as a gangbanger than the rainbow-haired rapper because at least when she took the stand, she didn’t snitch on anyone, Twitter users are pointing out en masse.
“As we watch Tekashi 69 (or whatever his name is) snitch on EVERYBODY, I invite you all to remember Martha Stewart snitched on NOT ONE soul during her trial. Baby girl kept it 10 toes down and ate that prison sentence by herself, like the true baddie she is,” @Chinchilla_773 tweeted Friday about Stewart’s infamous 2004 trial and the five months she spent in federal prison for insider trading.
“One of the things that is most crazy about this Tekashi situation is even Martha Stewart didn’t snitch. She sat down and did her time,” @YoungLionBlog wrote with a gif that says “Martha we know you a gangsta.”
On the other hand, Tekashi 6ix9ine — who rapped his way to the top pretending to be a violent gangbanger when he was really just a perennial hanger-on — broke all street rules when he flipped on his Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods gang friends just one day after he was pinched for gang-related activity.
When prosecutors shoved a possible 47-year sentence under his nose, the “Gummo” rapper immediately crumbled and agreed to work with the feds and testify at his friends’ trial in hopes of a lighter sentence.
Since the trial began against Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods members Anthony “Harv” Ellison and Aljermiah “Nuke” Mack for kidnapping, racketeering and narcotics trafficking, Tekashi has already dropped plenty of names, including rappers Cardi B and Jim Jones, while sharing loads of insider information about the gang’s activities.
When Stewart, who’s usually more famous for her apple pie than her five months in federal prison, stoically stood trial for her crimes, she never once burned anyone who may or may not have helped her score a few hundred grand in an insider trading deal with ImClone Systems– even while her closest friends and associates testified against her at the behest of the prosecution during the 2004 trial.
In an almost “Freaky Friday” moment of role reversals, Snoop Dogg — who happens to be a close friend of Stewart — took a swing at Tekashi for snitching in a recent Instagram post, and Stewart herself chimed in that she agreed.
“Tekashi 6ix9ine is Safe & Secured in Jail Unit With Other Snitches,” Snoop posted on his account along with emojis of a rat, a police car, a judge and the scales of justice.
In another post two days later, Snoop shared a graphic that showed the acronym “S.N.I.T.C.H.” and “Sorry N—a I’m Tryna Come Home” underneath it with the caption: “never have never will.” Stewart swooped in to share her agreement.
“That’s why I like you so much Birds of a feather!!!!!” the OG piemaker wrote.
Stewart’s fans on Friday afternoon continued to show their support.
