Michael Phelps and wife Nicole welcome son Maverick

The Phelps family swim team is coming along.
Champion swimmer Michael and his wife Nicole Johnson have welcomed a baby boy named Maverick Nicholas.
“Family of 5! Welcome @mavericknphelps to the world!” Phelps wrote on Instagram on Wednesday. “Mama and baby are healthy and the boys are pumped to be big bros!”
The 34-year-old athlete also wrote that the baby — who has his own Instagram page with over 10 thousand followers — was born on Sept. 9.
Johnson, also 34, posted the same image to her Instagram page with the caption, “We welcomed Maverick Nicolas Phelps into the world on 9/9/19 at 36 weeks and 2 days.”
“Our lil big man was 6lb 5o and 20. He instantly has stolen all of our hearts and keeps me an ecstatic mommy of boys,” she continued. “I can’t wait to walk this journey surrounded by my men.”
Phelps and Nicole, who got married in 2016, are already parents to Boomer, 3, and Beckett, 1.
