Tana Mongeau skips honeymoon with Jake Paul due to family emergency

Tana Mongeau and Jake Paul‘s married life is off to a rocky start.

After staging an elaborate wedding in Las Vegas on Sunday night, the YouTubers went their separate ways. Mongeau, 21, tweeted that she had to skip out on their European honeymoon due to a “family emergency.”

“We’re both still recovering hard- Jake’s headed to Europe and i have to deal with a family emergency…. i’m gonna meet him there the second i can. so excited to decompress from the past few months of chaos & celebrate US with no one around,” Mongeau wrote in a series of tweets on Monday. “Sometimes God gives us hardships at really bad timing which sucks because i truly don’t want this to take away from all of the love i was surrounded by last night & in this life.”

It’s unclear what the family emergency is.

Page Six spotted Paul at the McCarren airport Monday afternoon passing through security with older brother Logan Paul talking about his late-night-turned-early-morning party. He was, however, dutifully wearing his new silver wedding band.

Many on Twitter doubted the timing of Mongeau’s emergency: “Why wouldn’t your new husband stay back and help you deal with this emergency rather than jet off to London with his brother? You two could have definitely Waited and gone together when everything was good. Another example that I think this is all fake,” one person tweeted.

Mongeau and Paul’s three-month whirlwind romance has been called into question many times — including by Logan Paul. The two have said the relationship was simply seeking “clout” many times and Jake Paul originally proposed with a $125 cubic zirconia ring. They have not filed a marriage license and their chaotic ceremony ended in a brawl that multiple wedding guests told Page Six appeared to be staged.

After the reception at the Sugar Factory, the bride and groom were spotted leaving the Fashion Show Mall separately.
