Amber Portwood’s ex Gary Shirley offers support after domestic violence arrest

Amber Portwood has the support of ex-boyfriend Gary Shirley after she was arrested for allegedly attacking her current beau.

“All I could ask is for is @AmberLPortwood to be happy & healthy,” Shirley, who shares 10-year-old daughter Leah with Portwood, tweeted on Monday, adding that she has “all of my support” and included a tune-in to the new season of her show “Teen Mom OG.”

Many fans felt Shirley’s tweet was bizarre, as Portwood previously served time following a 2010 fight in which she assaulted Shirley on camera.

“She will never be happy and healthy as long as she is an abusive narcissist & that will never change,” tweeted one of Shirley’s followers, while another responded, “This tweet is all kinds of Yikes!”

Most recently, the “Teen Mom” star, 29, was arrested in early July and charged with domestic battery, criminal recklessness committed with a deadly weapon and domestic battery committed in the presence of a child less than 16 years old after she allegedly attacked current boyfriend Andrew Glennon, with whom she shares 1-year-old son James.

Glennon filed for sole custody after the incident.
