Meghan Markle models $4K Gucci dress in British Vogue

Meghan Markle may not be on the cover of British Vogue’s September issue, but you can still catch her inside its pages.

The 37-year-old Duchess of Sussex, who guest edited the magazine alongside British Vogue’s editor-in-chief Edward Enninful, is featured inside the issue wearing an embellished tweed Gucci dress ($3,975) with a grosgrain ribbon at the neck and a detachable rose brooch.

If that price seems a bit steep, fear not: In a video of Markle overseeing the cover shoot for the “Forces for Change”-themed issue, the stylish royal wears a far more affordable black belted Everlane jumpsuit ($120).

The issue highlights “a diverse selection of women from all walks of life, each driving impact and raising the bar for equality, kindness, justice and open mindedness,” including Jane Fonda, Jameela Jamil, Laverne Cox, Christy Turlington and many more.

As for why Markle herself didn’t front the glossy? According to Enninful, “she felt that it would be in some ways a ‘boastful’ thing to do for this particular project. She wanted, instead, to focus on the women she admires.”
