Family of late ‘Once Upon a Time’ star Gabe Khouth raising money for funeral, his kids

Following the tragic death of “Once Upon a Time” star Gabe Khouth last week, the actor’s family has started a GoFundMe page to raise money for a funeral and to support his wife and kids.

Khouth, who was known for playing Sneezy on the ABC series, died at age 46 after suffering a cardiac arrest while riding his motorcycle last Tuesday.

Now the star’s older brother, Sam Vincent, is raising money for his wife, Yuki Tani, and two kids, 12-year-old daughter Shino and 15-year-old son Toshiro, as well as his funeral and celebration of life ceremony for his family, friends and fans.

“My brother was born with a congenital heart defect (Tricuspid Atresia) and from the very beginning of his life he had struggled to beat the odds and always strived to lead a vibrant life despite his physical challenges,” Vincent wrote. “He had major heart surgery at the Mayo clinic at the age of ten to put a shunt in his heart to work more effectively which was a relatively new procedure at the time so the prognosis of his longevity was always unknown. He lived with this his whole life, never knowing how long his heart would truly last but he kept surprising doctors and defying the odds as people with similar procedures passed away.”

He continued, “He kept living and thriving as an actor despite this physical limitations. He was a butt kicking Ninja Turtle, a lover of the good things in life, an avid motorcycle enthusiast and a dedicated and loving father.”

Khouth’s family hopes to raise $5,000 for funeral arrangements and celebration of his life, as well as $10,000 for each of his kids, which Vincent said would be “managed and allocated by their mom.”

“Gabe filled so many hearts with laughter and good cheer over the years with his performances, engaging personality, warm heart and deep love for humanity,” the brother wrote. “If you feel he touched your soul, put a smile on your face and tickled your heart please consider making a donation to his wife and children as they will endeavor to live in a world without him and your generosity will lighten that load. On behalf of my family, myself and especially Gabe, thank you and peace be with you.”

The GoFundMe raised $7,925 at the time of publication. They hope to raise $25,000.
