Julia Roberts reacts to Emmy nomination ‘snub’

Leave it to Oscar-winning actress Julia Roberts to laugh off an Emmy nomination “snub.”

After the Primetime Emmy nominations were announced on Tuesday, the “Homecoming” actress took to social media to respond to a USA Today article that claimed Roberts, along with George Clooney and Emma Stone, had been snubbed this year.

“Well, I’m in exceptional company at least,” Roberts, 51, captioned a screenshot of the USA Today push alert, which read, “Biggest Emmy nomination snubs: Julia Roberts, George Clooney and Emma Stone among the A-listers shut out.”

Roberts was nominated for an Emmy in 2014 for the miniseries “The Normal Heart” and in 1999 for her guest starring role on “Law & Order.” Despite not having an Emmy, Roberts took home an Oscar in 2001 for “Erin Brockovich.”

The Emmy Awards will air on Fox on Sept. 22.
