With summer in full swing, there’s no better time to step out in a flirty minidress — but with those higher hemlines comes a rising risk of accidental overexposure.

Irina Shayk, however, has an easy fix to ward off wardrobe malfunctions while wearing even her tiniest frocks: a simple pair of bike shorts.

The catwalker, 33, headed to an NYC playground on Monday with Lea De Seine, her 2-year-old daughter with ex Bradley Cooper, wearing an itty-bitty red floral dress from Reformation ($98) paired with a black denim jacket from Levi’s ($89.50), Dr. Martens combat boots ($160) and a cherry-print Louis Vuitton Speedy bag, which fetches thousands on the resale market.

Thanks to the black spandex shorts Shayk layered beneath her mini, the model was free to join her daughter on the jungle gym, bask in the park breeze and even bend over to chat with a passing driver, all without accidentally overexposing herself.

An easy — and cheap — styling trick for supermodels and mere mortals alike, not to mention a more wearable way to get in on the bike short trend.
