“Riverdale” has some thoughts on the new royal baby name.
“Proud to be Archie. 👶👑,” the CW show, which is based off the Archie comics, tweeted on Wednesday from its official Twitter account.
The tweet was accompanied by a gif of KJ Apa, who plays star Archie Andrews.
On Wednesday, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their son’s name is Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, hours after they presented him to the world.
Meanwhile, the Archie Comics Twitter account commented on the news by simply writing, “i’m baby.”
Many fans also took to Twitter to comment on the surprising choice for the baby’s name.
“I’m going to laugh and laugh if Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor has red hair and freckles,” one person wrote.
The creator of “Riverdale” commented, “Best. Crossover. Ever. #Riverdale goes ROYAL. Congrats to the Meghan and Harry #archie!”
